Services
We provide several types of modeling services for our clients.
Fire modeling can be considered as the prediction of fire characteristics by the use of a mathematical method which is expressed through a computer program. Aman Fire Protection Engineering uses fire modeling as representations to explain conceptual designs, scaling, or mathematical model. Below are listed the types of modeling our services can provide for our clients.
FDS
The NIST FDS (Fire Dynamics Simulator) is a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model developed specifically for modeling fire driven flows. FDS is routinely applied to a wide range of problems including performance-based design, fire reconstructions, test planning, codes and standards development, dispersion, and indoor air quality.
CFD
Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling is applied when the problem is complex enough to the point where there is no available information on past testing. CFD is used to address problems with non-uniformly coupled transport phenomena, involved geometric and boundary features, and dynamic and distributed sources.
Fire Dynamics
Fire dynamics modeling can be used to determine heat transfer, radiation, heat flux, flame spread, as well as other various uses. Aman fire protection engineers are experienced using these tools for assessing the fire effects in order to meet our client’s needs.
