Oxagon Port

Oxagon Port – NEOM, Saudi Arabia

Oxagon Port

NEOM Saudi Arabia

This project involved a full-scale fire and life safety consultancy service for the Neom Oxagon Port, a major industrial development. The primary objective was to ensure the port's infrastructure, buildings, and masterplan were fully compliant with HCIS SAF Directives, Saudi Building Code (SBC), and NFPA Codes and Standards. Aman Engineering and Martech Fire Solutions collaborated to provide a comprehensive, multi-stage review of the project's design.

Project Stages and Services

Aman International Engineering team delivered a phased approach covering the entire design process, from preliminary to detailed design.

Fire & Life Safety Design Review (FEED Stage)

  • A comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) was performed to identify hazards and define the appropriate fire protection and detection systems for the project.
  • Based on the FRA, a detailed Fire Protection Strategy Report was prepared to be used as the official design basis.
  • A thorough review of the client's Preliminary Engineering Design was conducted, confirming compliance with all relevant codes and directives.

Fire & Life Safety System Design Review (Detailed Design Stage)

  • In this phase, the detailed engineering packages were reviewed, including design drawings, calculations, and material submissions.
  • Detailed comment sheets were issued to the client, referencing specific code non-conformities and providing guidance for correction.

Project Outcome

The project successfully completed a rigorous, multi-stage design review, ensuring all aspects of the Neom Oxagon Port infrastructure and facilities met the highest standards for fire and life safety. Our work ensured that the project was on track to secure necessary approvals from the relevant authorities, providing a robust and compliant foundation for this critical development.
