Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
This project involved providing fire and life safety consultancy services for the detailed master planning and engineering of the JCD project in Jeddah. The primary objective was to ensure the infrastructure facilities, across a vast 570-hectare area, complied with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and NFPA Codes and Standards as adopted by the local Civil Defence (CD). The scope was explicitly limited to infrastructure and excluded all buildings, tunnels, and other special structures.
Aman International Engineering team provided a comprehensive, multi-stage approach to address the project's fire and life safety requirements.
The project successfully established a robust fire and life safety framework for the JCD master plan. By focusing specifically on the infrastructure and adhering to a phased design review process, it ensured that the fundamental fire protection systems were compliant and ready for implementation. This work facilitated the necessary approvals from the Civil Defence, laying the groundwork for the successful development of this large-scale project.
