This project involved providing fire engineering services for the firefighting system at the Barka II Plant, a facility for SMN Power Holding SAOG in Oman. The primary objective was to conduct an audit of the existing fire protection systems and a risk assessment to ensure compliance with the latest GCC code and NFPA Codes and Standards, as adopted by the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA). The project focused on identifying and mitigating risks related to continuous leakages in the underground firefighting hydrant network.
Aman International Engineering team delivered a specialized, multi-stage approach to audit the existing facility and address the client's concerns.
The project successfully delivered a thorough audit of the existing firefighting system at the Barka II Plant. The detailed risk assessment provided the client with a clear understanding of the risks associated with the leakages and offered actionable recommendations for remediation. Our work ensured that the plant's firefighting systems were evaluated against current standards, enhancing the safety of the facility and its personnel and providing the necessary documentation for potential future improvements.
